September 27, 2024 - October 6, 2024

We've been talking about it and now it's a done deal.  We have wanted to go to Morocco because of its extensive history and varied geography! Morocco doesn't just have paradise beaches and sweeping expanses of desert, it also has mountains! Morocco has two major mountain ranges, the Rif Mountains in the north and the Atlas Mountains stretching through the middle of the country.  Morocco also has four imperial cities: Marrakech, Fes, Meknes and Rabat.  Rabat is the current capital city. Although a modern city at first glance, it has several interesting historical attractions, such as the Kasbah of the Oudaias, the old medina and the Hassan Tower. We will visit all four of those cities including Casablanca and several others during this 10 day tour.

Exotic and fascinating, the Kingdom of Morocco is rich in history and culture, revealing intriguing historic sights, authentic cuisine, and changing scenery. This itinerary takes in the Imperial cities of Morocco, such as Fez, Marrakech, Meknes, and Rabat, as well as inspiring cities, like Ouarzazate, Casablanca and Erfoud. In the red city of Marrakesh, step back in time as you wander through the Jemaa-el-Fna, the main square and exotic bazaar, offering some of the greatest open-air entertainment. Listen to the storytellers—an integral part of the culture—and browse for handicrafts. In Fez, take an optional tour to visit the ancient medina. Founded in the 9th century, it is one of the largest medieval cities in the world and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
